Knightly sword France 1450 Lean piercing blade with double-sided, strong midrib. Ridged guard, the ends of the blade inclined towards. Good added grip with leather cover over cord wrapping. Laterally doubly ridged disc pommel with both sides deepened hub. Length 89.5 cm. The hilt is of the form and proportions described by Oakeschott as group XX which but for one, are hand and a half swords of about 1320-1450. Its broad fullered slashing blade (with traces of inlaid latten makers mark) places it in with the earliest of the group. Its pommel is of Oakeschott type T4. Blade length: 32 3/8"

This is a XVa from 1453.  It's a huge sword, and about perfect for Talhoffer's manual.
