1860s evening bodice, ebay seller: fiddybee; museum de-accessioned; net lace under sleeve; cap sleeve has tassel trimmed lacing & decorated with printed silk ribbon with circles of blue chenille; under sleeve has pink ribbon insert; lined in cotton, back hook & eye closure; no underarm discoloration; bust: 32"; waist: 24"
A magnificent light blue silk 1860s crinoline two piece evening gown. The skirt has a short train and is embroidered in white with classical motifs, the bodice has similar embroidery and is trimmed with lace. The colour is still fantastic , the overall impression is of a piece of Wedgewood. by cindy
