One of two Boat Graves found in Tingvoll, Western Norway contained women. One with a woman who presumably must have been the Mistress on the nearby farm dated to about the year 800 AD, i. the start of the Viking Age.
Very Rare Viking Silver Thors Hammer Pendant c. 9th - 10th Century AD
A stunningly intact and crisp Baltic Viking bronze tortoise brooch, with the original pin and delicate pin pivot. The raised decoration is amazingly articulated--the brooch is as it was made about a thousand years ago, except for the blackish patina.
