Life of Holy Priest Nichiren - 6. "Declaration of New Sect" by Tenrei Horiuchi. Rencho (later Nichiren) declared the new Buddhist sect while he was watching the rising sun from a forest on Mt. Kiyosumi. It was April 28th, 1253. He worried and lamented the orderless society and determined to spread the true spirit of the Buddhist bible, Hokkekyo (the Lotus Sutra).
