September 26th is Norwegian Fårikål Day! Fårikål means "mutton in cabbage". It has been voted the Norwegian national dish and easy dish to make, with mainly cabbage, whole pepper, and mutton or lamb. Some people layer in one to two tablespoons of flour to thicken the broth. It is especially easy in a crockpot and traditionally served with boiled potatoes. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Farikal/Detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Thumb&e11=farikal&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Home%20Page
