“Audrey had a coiffured fringe on her face instead on her skirt, where orthodox twisters should have it, but there was nothing wrong with her technique. It delighted her husband, Mel Ferrer, at a charity ball aboard the new liner France in Le Havre. The ship didn’t move but it didn’t have to. Miss Hepburn had learned the twist in Paris.
