Rare East Tennessee Chippendale Mirror - Greene County, Tennessee, circa 1800-1810, mahogany frame mirror with poplar and yellow pine secondary glue blocks, 20-1/8 x 12-3/4 in. Featured in the book "Art and Furniture of East Tennessee" by Namuni Hale Young, 1997, page 55, image #100. It is described as "having a long history in Greenville". It was also featured in an exhibit of the Museum of East Tennessee History, Knoxville, Tennessee, Exhibit #0045-1990.
Here are two Chippendale-style mirrors that I constructed from a circa 1775 design that I happened to really like. The first is constructed of figured tiger and Western big leaf maple; the second uses figured African mahogany.
