The picture shows one of the Tudor toilets at Gainsborough - one of the places where Henry VIII's 5th Queen, Catherine, admitted to meeting with her lover Culpeper, on the progress with the King around the North, other places they met were Lincoln and Pontefract. There are also renovated Tudor loos on view (but not for use!) at Tattershall castle.

A piece of material taken from the gown Katherine Parr was buried in. It was taken from her coffin in 1782. Apparently it was part of the sleeve and collar fabric.
