A REGENCY OCHRE-PAINTED SIX-ROOM DOLLS HOUSE. EARLY 19TH CENTURY. Modelled as a villa with pilasters and balustraded double staircase, the interior with a large collection of later Dolls House miniature furniture. 45½ in. (66.5 cm.) high; 72 in. (182.8 cm.) wide; 32 in. (81 cm.) deep.

Made in 1887 for a Miss Barker and bought by Queen Mary from the Royal School of Needlework. Adore this English Tudor dollhouse!

Queen Mary's Dolls' House    The front of Queen Mary's Dolls' House by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Built to the Imperial scale of one inch to one foot, it measures 1.52 metres high, 2.59 metres wide, 1.49 metres deep, and weighs 4.5 tonnes. The garden was created by Gertrude Jekyll and includes lawns of green velvet and six cypress trees made out of real twigs from Dartmoor.
