Sam running into the river after Frodo. Submitted by: ohhhcocoa.// Can we just take a minute to appreciate the depth of this scene?

Things I love about the Lord of the Rings ~ One of the best scenes in all three movies combined.

About Tauriel & Kili... yup. It's GREAT!!! LOVE LOVE :') // same here. I walked into the theatre absolutely dreading this pairing (but excited about Tauriel because the Elves are awesome), because I just thought it was going to be so - idk, just wrong in Tolkien-verse. But my heart just got...MELTED by these two. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. So yeah, canon or not, I ship this like UPS ships boxes.

That's what I always thought :( So why are so many people complaining about Tauriel/Kili and that it wasn't in the books. It's been the same with Aragorn and Arwen, but both stories became something great :

Balin's Tomb. (Basically the only scene in the whole trilogy where Aragorn uses a bow. Savor it.)

"Folk in those stories had lot's of chances to turn back, only they didn't. Because they were holding on to something." "What are we holding onto, Sam? Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.

I think the hobbits are Tolkiens most wonderful creation. The adventures of the hobbits were beautiful creations. These small, kind, adventurous beings and their stories touched my heart more than any other story. The tale of Bilbo Baggins is to me the best story I have ever read. And it is Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin and their eternal love, hope, courage, loyalty, goodness, friendship and occasional quirkiness" that I love reading and watching the most. Thank you, Mr. Tolkien.

No. And if you do, you will not be the same.

Bilbo: Can you promise that I will come back? Gandalf: No.
