Honokohau Falls is the tallest waterfall on Maui, Hawaii, USA dropping in two tiers at a total of 1,119 feet (341 m). The best way to see this amazing cascade is by helicopter because it is located in an inaccessible valley in the West Maui Mountains.

We need to protect places like this - the utterly breathtaking Honokohau National Historic Park, Big Island, Hawaii.

don't miss this if you are on the big island----------- ahalanui park is also known as pualaa county park. It is located about 30 miles south of hilo. It is right on the ocean but separated from the ocean waves by a low wall made from lava rock. The cooling waves do wash over the wall, which is what keeps the water, fed by natural springs that are thermally heated by the volcano, at a balmy temperature of about 90 degrees.

Find out about the relaxing lagoon waters of Ahalanui Beach on the Big Island that are thermally heated by the lava vents of Kilauea.
