Houghton Hall, Norfolk, England (1723-1729) built for Sir Robert Walpole, 1st Earl of Orford, and Britains 1st Prime Minister. The building was begun by Colen Campbell in 1722, James Gibbs added the domes, William Kent designed the interiors & Thomas Ripley supervised the building work. In typical Palladian revival style, the exterior is far more austere than the interior.
