RAT IN A BASKET 19TH CENTURY IVORY NETSUKE — This charming 19th century ivory Netsuke is depicting a rat with inlaid eyes, hiding amidst leaves in a straw scoop. Very well rendered details. Unsigned, early 19th c., length 4.8 cm. Good condition apart from old scratches. From an old collection of about 200 Netsuke built up in the sixties and seventies in Japan. {available for purchase}
