Module 2. My favourite tool is Bitstrips www.bitstrips.com. It's one of the most used avatar creation webpages in the world. It's very popular among students to send emoticons through whatsapp, email, twitter... The tool could be improved by adding voice to the avatars.
This is an avatar created with Voki, a tool which permits that your avatar speaks! Students can improve their pronunciation just imitating the avatar, and you can even choose among different types of English accents!
https://prezi.com/an5lb63ud2gf/global-project-evaluation/ I used prezi to create a multimedia presentation with cool transitions and a background song. Students can use this tool to make their presentations in class. The free version is public. Collaborative tools are perfect to teach a second language in a real context and it permits students to contact students from all around the world. Both prezi and padlet are engaging tools!
Module 5. Creating a video with a mobile device can be the perfect way to get students engaged with the learning of a second language. With this tool I discovered you can edit images and create videos. You download the free app and create and share videos using your phone's pictures and video clips or the ones you have on your computer. It's easy, fast and fun. The app also includes a music library with over 1000 soundtracks to pick from and beautiful video styles to customize your video.
Module 4. Collaborative tools. https://es.padlet.com/ Padlet has been the tool I liked discovering the most. I used it to write a collaborative story. It's perfect to use in class as a free writing activity or as a guided one where students contribute with their creations.
It offers you many possibilities to create your videos, adding your own voice or you students can do it at home as a project to be evaluated. Good idea, considering the large number of students we've got per class.
Another interesting app you can find in the web as well, I prefer the app for the mobile phone, though. The URL is https://www.wevideo.com/ , and you can download it in your phone in your play store section...
INDIAN TIPI is our Collaborative Chain Story in which my classmates and I have been writing after the beginning of the story written by the teacher. I'm really proud of it, because this story makes sense and flows.
