2014 Beer Advent Calendar-Day 12: Oh yes, finally I found a Norwegian craft weissbier. From Ægir Bryggeri of Flåm, it's too strong for stores but well worth seeking out at Vinmonopolet. Dare I say this is as good as a Bavarian brew, and this is what I'll be trying to make when I get round to brewing my own but for now Hrist & Mist by Ægir is as good as it gets for Norwegian homegrown #beeradventcalendar
2014 Beer Advent Calendar-Day Had to include one of these as a memory of last year when we spent Chrimbo on the beach in Thailand. Only just noticed that the brewery is in Ayutthaya, which I also visited this year.
2014 Beer Advent Calendar-Day Off to Italy for an unpasteurised Birra Spesiale, Isaac from Baladin which is on sale in many bars and restaurants in Norway for some reason. Good stuff though!
2014 Beer Advent Calendar: Day 8. Early start (or late lunch) as I have a meeting here in Oslo from 5-10 pm. What a beer menu, well over 200 bottled and 16 on tap. Went for a weissbier from a Swedish microbrewery within the walls of Visby Cloister. Lovely. I finally find something worth doing in Oslo :-) #beeradventcalendar
2014 Beer Advent Calendar-Day First of many but can't be bothered to take pix all night. Finally made it to Brygghus 9 for food and drink.nuff said. Schneider Weisse on tap, then over to their own brews next.
2014 Beer Advent Calendar: Day It's not exactly as exotic as some of the others but still a favourite. Light, refreshing and a perfect accompaniment to my killer home-made chili which is on the menu tonight
