A French Art Nouveau 18 karat gold brooch with 3 heart shaped white opals accented by a freshwater pearl and diamond drop by Gaston Laffitte. The heart shaped opals represent flowers and the leaves are made of “plique-à-jour” enamel. Gaston Laffitte, was an Art Nouveau jeweler proficient with plique-à-jour enamel techniques. He exhibited regularly at the Paris Salons. Circa 1900.
