SAGA OF RAGNAR LODBROK: If you watch the VIKINGS television show, you've met a version of Ragnar Loðbrók. If you want to meet the "original" Ragnar, you should read his saga. It's short, it's exciting, it's better than TV it's the new featured free eBook in The Norse Mythology Online Library. Download the free eBook (PDF format) at http://www.norsemyth.org/p/books.html

Norse mythology Balder - Baldur was one of the most beloved of all the gods. The son of Odin, the chief of the gods, and the benevolent sorceress goddess Frigg, Baldur was a generous, joyful, and courageous character who gladdened the hearts of all who spent time with him. When, therefore, he began to have ominous dreams of some grave misfortune befalling him, the fearful gods appointed Odin to discover their meaning.
