I was enchanted with the rolled roses on this card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1794455 I followed the tutorial and was pleased with how they turned out. Thanks very much for the tutorial! I put some clear microbeads in the center of each rose.
Cute as a Button
I just love this card that my sister Kaylana made for a card swap group in Utah. She was looking at paint chips at Lowes and decided that she could make cards with them. This is what she came up with, absolutely adorable. Paint Chips - Lowes Buttons - Clearance buttons from Pebbles in my Pocket "cute as a button" was just printed on with an ink jet printer

Pink Blossom Birthday
Today's Color Challenge from SCS (CC377) is Soft Suede, Certainly Celery and Blushing Bride ... or similar colors (med brown, soft green, soft pink). A great color combo!! I whipped up this card in no time - thanks to a fun punch and die-cut ... and a little flower that I used for the center of the blossom that I picked up from my local Dollar Store. Hope you like. The sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch had 5 hexagons, and I couldn't see anything else...except a bit larger, centered, with flowers(you know me:)!!), here's the sketch and my card... I had some hexagon "frames" I had tried on another card and didn't like, but I think they were just right for this sketch:). I had taken the Simon Says Stamp hexagon dies and die cut the middle ones then cut out the middles with the smallest hexagon die. NOTE...it appears the Simon dies were retired, so I…

I can not say enough about how much I love her, she is an animal lover and advocate not to mention a card maker extraordinaire. I knew right away that I wanted to make her a pink, girly card, this is what I came up…
F4A95 Flowers and Pearls by bfinlay - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Wendy's Free for All challenge today is to use flowers to brighten up a wintery day. My flowers aren't "bright" but I needed a very quick thankyou card because it's been a busy day so I went with a silhouette. A group of ladies sent me a thoughtful gift for some Bible teaching and I thought this verse would be perfect. The flowers and grass silhouette is from a set I won during HYCCT from Taylored Expressions.
Another Birthday card for my sister by JD from PAUSA - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I found the pattern to make this box card here http://valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com/2010/11/making-simple-box-card.html I made one of these box cards for my sister last year she liked it so much that she hinted around that she wanted another one. I cuttlebugged the two front panels with a EF from Anna Griffin, I cut my center circle with a die from Spellbinders Lacy Circles, I made my flowers using a die from Quilled Creations, Blooming Rose.
