At first glance not the most glamorous design brief, “Design signage for a concrete car park”. These ‘signs’ might not look that unusual but emerystudio and Axel Peemöller collaborated to make this fantastic wayfinding system. This piece of work was inspired by the work of Swiss artist Felice Varini who specialises in one-point-perspective installation paintings. The colourful, bold type ensures that the signs stand-out just as a driver approaches from the right angle.
"The Candy Room in Melbourne... The cash register sits atop a kitchen island–peek behind it and you’ll see a stove with a pot simmering on top. Looking around the room, cupboards and bookshelves hold jars and bins filled with brightly colored candy, and there’s a dog bed and basket of laundry beneath the window sill."
