De rigeste kvinders dragt ses afbildet på hængesmykker. De viser, at der var ganske store variationer. Kvinderne ses ofte med forklæde, slæb og kappe, der kunne være udsmykket med forskellige bånd og kantsyninger.

The clothes of the richest women were depicted on pendants. These show us that there were significant variations in their attire. Women are often seen wearing pinafores, trains and cloaks, that could be decorated with various bands and border stitching.

Et karakteristisk træk ved hængesmykkerne er, at kvindens hår, der ofte er langt, er bundet i en knude på baghovedet.
