Poetry is a powerful medium to pair with a mindfulness practice. A poem invites us to slow down, to pay attention, and to be present. Jade Flower Palace, written by Tu Fu, is one of my favorite mindful poetry. This mindful poem can be enjoyed by people with any spiritual orientation. There is space in mindfulness practice, as in mindful poems, for rage and joy, sorrow and gratitude, and for a wide range of different outlooks on life.
