Four Patch Doll Quilt

I really enjoy creating doll quilts from 19th century reproduction fabrics and pink and brown is just about my favorite combination. This quilt is 13 inches square and is entirely pieced and quilted by hand. The two girls enjoying a little bit of sunshine are part of my small collection of antique china head dolls. Sandy

Green Acres Doll Quilt

Natural greens are highlighted with rich red sashing in a doll quilt that can span the seasons. Square-in-a-square units form a grid shape that echoes the geometric shapes in the rest of the quilt. Fabrics are from assorted collections by Jo Morton for Andover Fabrics.

Winter's Scraps

I love Cheri's designs which is evident with how many of her patterns I have used. A new finish made from a Cheri pattern in an issue of the Primitive Quilts and Projects Magazine. Last year, I won a box of Cheri's scraps of fabric. The rail fence blocks are made from some of those pieces. It is a wonder that this piece is flat. I had a problem with drifting on my seam allowance when making the rail fence type blocks. I ended up fixing some and just trimming others so a bit wonky looking but…
