Stranded Colorwork Jacket, Version B pattern by Connie Hester
Any fingering/sport weight yarn which produces gauge will work well. I used 3/2 perle cotton (about 18 wpi) in a stable gauge which does not sag or distort over time.
Graph 73 - District of Kurzeme
Latvian mittens were knit originally on needles varying in size from 0-0000 (2-1.25 mm, 13-16 English). The yarn was usually a fine 2-ply homespun similar to an 8/2 weaving yarn or as fine as a “fingering yarn”. The pattern asks that you find your own gauge with your own needles and yarn and then adjust the graph based on a sizing chart at the back of the book.

Farewell Norwegian Cardigan pattern by Julie Jackson
The Farewell Norwegian Cardigan is a cozy, boxy cardigan, knit bottom-up, in the round. Instructions include all charts – of course - so you can scale the pattern up or down to suit your size preference. The pattern assumes that you know how to do stranded colorwork, steeks, and that you always check your gauge.
