Carole P. Kunstadt
Sacred Poem XLV by Carole P. Kunstadt | Pages from 1844 Parish Psalmody, gold leaf, thread; cut, altered, sewn. 2007. Carole has taken an 1844 Psalm book used in churches, sliced it into thin strips which are then rejoined on her sewing machine, interleaving them with extremely fine tissue or leaves of gold to create beautiful organic shapes in which the words no longer are the reason for the psalm book. It becomes a celebration of life and beauty that’s contained within them.

artist work | England & Co Gallery
I love this assemblage, art piece!!!! It is by Georgia Russell, who is a Scottish artist that slashes, cuts and dissects printed matter, transforming books, music scores, maps, newspapers and photographs. Russell has been represented by England & Co since she graduated from the Royal College of Art
