The photo of the Contemporary from the Mailer in 1971. Notice the train circling the park where Space Mountain would eventually be built. Also, up near the top, you can see where the Monorail & trains were kept at the roundhouse area. To the right of that was the employee parking area and where Disney University would eventually be built. I have no idea what may be in that area now.

The Contemporary resort is one of the original resorts. On the shores of Bay Lake and with the monorail running through the middle of the original building. Originally there were two wings like the low-rise south wing, but the northern buildings were demolished a few years ago to make way for the Contemporary Towers - part of the ever-expanding Disney Vacation Club.
