I suffer from depression and I hide it well in front of others. I am getting better now because of how happy my bf makes me feel and posts like this always make me aspire to cure and never to go back down that route again.
casual reminder: just because you show a few symptoms of an illness, it doesn't mean you have it. What it does mean is that you should see a psychiatrist to make sure everything's okay or to help make everything okay.
Even victims of the most horrific trauma still think they don't deserve to be treated because "someone else had it worse". Your trauma is important. Your experiences are important and valid. We don't have to keep comparing.
Nothing is worse than being in a relationship with someone that is using you for their own gains, emotionally abusing you, and all the while professing their love for you to the world. Only to later leave you and paint you as the villain .
