DIY knife block - I just glued together the covers of some interesting books i found at the thrift store and secured them with twine. the tight pages of the books hold the knives in place. plus at 4 dollars total cost i can afford to do this again in a few years when the books start to shred.

Goodbye old refrigerator and hello beauty! DIY Refrigerator makeover Items needed: -6 ft cedar dog eared fence boards -1/2 inch plywood -Hardware -polyurethane spray can: clear satin 1. Cut plywood to fit on top of frig. 2. Cut fence boards to size and nail to plywood on top of frig, use screws to secure to frig 4. Remove all hardware including water/ice dispenser. 5. Cut remainder of ply wood into 2 inch trim. 6. Attach trim with small nails 7. Spray polyurethane 8. Add hardware.
