School Counseling Ideas: Friendship Chain--1st Grade Guidance Lesson, I do a similar lesson where I tell the kids a story about a grumpy kid who says one mean thing to another kid, who then is mean to the next kid, and so on. We talk about this type of chain and then we make a compliment chain like the one in this lesson.
