This is a great way to quickly and informally assess students during small group or individual instruction -- students write a statement in response to what they have read, discussed, or learned, as well as a question. (use post it notes)
This is an activity that is usually used in math class, but I think it also works really well as a revision tool! Simply write an answer on the board, students then write questions to match the answer.
4 Corners Collaborative Group Work: Each student writes their own answer on a post-it (randomly hand out 5 different colors), they bring the answers together by color and write a group answer in the center.
They sell these tins at craft stores in the wedding section (use a coupon to get a good deal) attach strong magnets. I got a metal board from Ikea and they just magnet on there. You could also paint a cookie sheet any color you like and use that.
