We are coming to the end of our week on fire safety and let me tell you, it has been one busy week! I thought of so many ways we could explore fire safety and a hands down favorite of the week was putting out fires with our DIY fire extinguishers...

Use chalk to draw a house on fire. Have toddler put the fire out by squeezing a soaked sponge over the flames.

Preschool Curriculum & Programs
Sidewalk chalk game! Draw a tower with flames on top. Number the windows. Roll dice so kids can practice counting. "Climb" to that number "window". Use hose to wash away chalk / put out fire. Don't forget to wear your fireman hat!!

So CUTE...Firefighter Role Play to put out "Chalk Fires" by spraying them with water using a spray bottle to put out the "Chalk Flames." I used this fun learning activity to help my son recognize more words that start with the letter F...words like Fire, Firefighter, Flames, Fire Truck. He was really engaged during the entire activity and enjoyed spraying the letter F, along with the fire. :)
