They made BEAUTIFUL napkins of very fine paper, Coffee & Baked goods were served at 4pm (like English Tea) followed by a nap -- in teensy villages where the end of day was 4pm. Skolleboller

Skoleboller are sweet buns from Norway. They are topped with icing sugar, coconut shavings and a dollop of custard in the middle. The direct translation is "School Buns".

The traditional Norwegian dish Pinnekjøtt. It consist of ribs from lamb, with potatoes and mashed kohlrabi on the side. I grew up west in Norway and here we have this dish multiple times in December. Many eat Pinnekjøtt on Christmas Eve and/or New Years Eve and at social events with the family, with friends or with co-workers around this time of the year.
