The Rhythm Dice Game: A game I made up in my first year of teaching... great for rhythm review the first days back in school or make one to reinforce a new note value. Divide class into 2 teams. One student rolls die (I just painted a wooden cube from the craft store) and claps the rhythm of the corresponding color. Determine point values depending on difficulty of rhythm. After their turn pass to someone on the other team etc. I have a bunch of posters to pick from in each grade.
