I am so excited about my upcoming feature in By Hand, coming this winter! If you haven't heard of it yet, it's series of lookbooks that feature fiber and fabric making communities around the country. Maine is going to be the focus of Issue #2. I am so thrilled to be a part, and happy to have the opportunity to contribute a design with one of my most favorite yarns, Quince Owl. Arrows Down pattern by Natalie Volyanyuk

Top down stranded yoke sweater with slits at the bottom.

Inspired by traditional Icelandic circular yoke sweaters, Telja is knit in the round from the bottom up. Short rows are worked on the back of the sweater to bring the front of collar lower than the back. The stranded yoke is worked, and then the slightly scooped neckline is finished with an applied i-cord.
