Henrik Sørensen's oil painting on the rear wall of the ceremonial main hall, is the largest in Europe.
Soria Moria by Theodore Kittlesen. When in Oslo, I came across this painting. It's an interpretation of a moment from a Norwegian fairy tale, when the protagonist crests a hill and sees the golden city, the object of his journey. It reminded me of arriving in Jerusalem, which I'd just done, days before. Scholars relate the name "Soria Moria" to the Old Testament's Moriah. Moriah is the location of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, on which the Dome of the Rock now sits.
