GSD colors and patterns. I should have added the color blue... but I couldn't find a decent picture. The color gold can also be called tan, or red. Sable comes in many variations, the dog shown here is a red sable (to my understanding, at least) White and liver and blue are not acceptable colors according to breed standard, not sure about gold. Working bred GSDs often come in sable, and saddled dogs are especially popular in the show ring.
