A hand-spun aluminum shade sits atop the Double Shear Scissor Lamp: an intricately geometric construction of metal and wood that is as functional as it is stylish. All parts made and assembled in Oakland, California.
The frame is assembled on an aluminum L profile using self-tapping screws, The drive is belt, the gear is very small, about 1 to 1.7. Planned speed 40 km/h. Wheels 27 inches. The rear swingarm is made as the rear beam of a car. Rear suspension travel is approximately 300 mm. Folding hammock in which I practically go lying down. The back is approximately at an angle of 13 degrees relative to the plane of the road. Hammock creates comfort. It folds up to make room 2400 mm by 900 mm bed size.
