(9) Update...as it turns out, that old belt did not make great lid supports. I left the lid open overnight and the belt stretched too much to remain usable. The lid is now being supported by a simple strip of wood on the back of the chest, placed just below the hinges.
And there they are, all my favorite tools made by all my favorite people in one spot. The chest even took it's inaugural journey this weekend to go on display during the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event at Pratt. Thank you to all those that came, it was so fun to see old friends and make new ones.
