By the end of WW1 the USCG had lost more members in ratio to the proportionate size of the Service than all other Services combined (exception US Army). Are you aware that this tiny military combatant has participated in more US conflicts and wars than any other military service with the exception of the US Army. The USRCG/USCG is older than our Navy because the Navy was disbanded for 8 years.
