We look at an image that has lots of things going on and I ask the student to Describe the Scene. If they have a low level of English, they might simply say, “Woman shop…
On small cards one group write words that are linked to the picture (e.g: precarious could describe the window cleaner). The cards are then mixed up and passed to the next group who make there own links between word and picture.
This amazing artists uses children to create pictures, these are excellent visual stimuli and can be used to talk about number, shape, pattern - how about recreating your own pictures like this?
