It helps differentiate learning and gives each student focus. There are many other useful pages in the packet, too. All free!

We work on all the different ways to incorporate written expression into our day. I just love when one of my little would rather write than do anything else! Classroom Redo!

We've only been homeschooling for about 6 weeks and we've already moved our classroom. Actually, we moved it about four weeks ago. Yes, it kind of sucked, but it really worked out for the best. Our old classroom was in the dining room and after a couple of weeks I decided to take my craft room that I had only just begun working on and give it up! Crazy right? I was a bit sad, but I knew it had to be done! I really wanted to have a dining room and a separate classroom space. Honestly, who has…

FREE My Editing Checklist - 1 sheet. I used this with my 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to help them review and improve their writing. If any of their boxes are checked "NO" they must go back and correct the mistakes and check the "CORRECTED" box after they have fixed their mistakes. I kept this sheet at our Writing Center and also had students use them for Writing Homework assignments.

Revising and Editing Anchor Chart

If you would've asked me my thoughts about using anchor charts in the classroom a few years ago, I would've said something along the lines of them being more appropriate in a primary room--not so much 4th or 5th grade. I've come to learn that anchor charts are just as necssary in intermediate classrooms--and may even be more beneficial--than in a primary room! Anchor charts are very big in my school and the students here have learned to look for them in their classrooms over the years. My…
