T-studs are a newer more effecient timber stud featuring two timber studs with an truss system between to allow for continuous insulation around the whole wall, reducing thermal bridging. T-studs cost more than normal studs, but are good for buildings going for a net zero and low blower test score (reducing cost of running building in long run). Unlike normal timber farming in Australia, the T-stud has a depth of 150mm instead of the normal 90 depth.
