The Lands Council’s annual Reforest Spokane Day was a huge success. Over 300 volunteers gathered last Saturday morning to dig, plant, and add nature back into Spokane’s urban core. 3,000 plants were planted with new trees being added by the City of Spokane soon. These plants will mitigate stormwater, provide shade and lower temperatures, absorb CO2 and provide oxygen, and become a habitat for urban wildlife. We are proud to support the Lands Council’s reforestation efforts and loved taking part.
