Something I started a bunch of months back that I finally got around to finishing. Came up with the character as I was drawing it, had the rough idea that she was a priestess dedicated to Horus.

Here are the pieces I did for the Ancient Civilizations Character Design contest hosted by Artstation. Unfortunately I ran out of time and only managed to get 5 out of the 10 finished but I do plan on doing the rest on my spare time. They were so much fun to do and I learned a lot from them!

This week our homework theme was "Greek myths." One of my favorite Greek myth characters has always been the Oracle. I don't know why, she just seems so mysterious and special and awesome. image source I came up with this composition where most of her body is in the light, but her face is in shadow. I drew a quick little thumbnail. I knew that getting a photo reference would help a lot for this. The only tricky part would be finding a place with such strong light. Luckily it was a sunny day…

A card I did for the upcoming Souls of the Misty Lands tabletop game by Martin Dupuis. She is a Romani-inspired oracle who uses the magical memory of water to gaze into the past and unlock the future. Somehow her tent came out as an excellent spot for cats to hang out. Book cover version was a spur-of-the-moment experiment.
