This is a 22g statement ring with a beautiful piece of turquoise as it’s centerpiece. It’s a little over an inch and a half long and over an inch wide. It pairs well with another simple silver ring. It’s a Navajo piece with stampwork that blends in well with other Navajo pieces.
The petit point, also called “cluster work”, in this ring is done among the Navajo and Zuni in the American Southwest. This Navajo piece is adorned with 9 pieces of Campitos turquoise set into oxidized sterling silver. The rest of the ring is polished with Navajo raindrops (small silver domes) set between each stone.
Lapis Lazuli (lapis) is my second favorite stone. Luckily, silversmiths the world over love it, too. The Navajo, with their outstanding silverwork are no exception. This 25 gram statement ring is beautiful Navajo stampwork surrounding a piece of lapis that makes me want to buy it for myself.
