Nautical birthday cards for men

Hello and Happy May! Welcome to my Blog and to the Monthly Global Video group for May. I belong to a great group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world and, each month, we create projects using the same theme, or colour or stamp sets. It is such fun to see what everyone else makes and designs for the the theme and our May theme was MASCULINE. I need Birthday cards for upcoming months and so this was the perfect time to get out some of the Sail away paper and matching stamps…

Thank you, Pam, for choosing MASCULINE BIRTHDAY for the challenge today. I am increasing my inventory for the Fall show I participate in and am in real need of masculine cards. I saw a similar card in Pinterest using the sailboat for the A in happy birthday and could not resist using it for my inspiration. TFL

I did the background in chocolate chip and went over the lines with a marker for darker color. The turquoise circles were cut and stamped with the grunge stamp in copper. hinges were punched and stamped also.

My brother in law has taken up boating so this is his birthday card. Pretty much what he does in his boat every weekend. I printed the image twice. Once on white paper and then on water pattern paper and paper pieced the water on to the white.
