Wasn't smart enough to figure out how to get both the owl and the moon in focus in one shot. And wasn't even smart enough to take a few frames with the focus on the moon instead of the owl. Would have liked to see that darn it

In this project, I tried to create a photorealistic and anatomically accurate model of Subarctic Great Horned Owl. All grooming and scattering works of feathers I used Yeti, the owl has real fiber feathers (total count feathers - 6327 and 2188922 fibers) and I didn't use any poly plane feathers. Over the weekend we visited a country fair in north Notts primarily so that I could shoot some close-ups of owls because there is always, always a tent full of owls at these type of events. Normally they are common British species such as Little Owls, Barn Owls and Tawny Owls but quite often there is a chance of getting a picture of an Eagle Owl or a Great Grey.
