South Park Game Preserve, where the buffalo roam in Allegheny County. This is an awesome place to go and relax for a moment, or spend an afternoon picnicking at. On September 17, 2004, the remnants of Hurricane Ivan dumped 5.9 inches of rain on Allegheny County, breaking the one-day rainfall record of 3.6 inches, which had been set only nine days earlier by the remnants of Hurricane Frances. The flooding caused by Ivan damaged and destroyed thousands of homes and businesses.
