In November 1605, the infamous Gunpowder Plot took place where Guy Fawkes plotted to blow up the English Parliament and King James l, on the day set for the king to open Parliament. The story is remembered each 5th November when 'Guys' are burned in a celebration known as "Bonfire Night".

Remember remember the 5th of November the gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.

History The conspirators The Gunpowder Plot is the name given to the conspiracy to blow up the Houses of Parliament on 5th November 1605, which was discovered the night before.
