Johnnie Fox's Pub in the Dublin Mountains Ireland, many a good night spent here. Said to the highest pub in Ireland.

One of my favorite pubs in Ireland, Johnnie Fox's Pub. Tucked away quietly in the Wicklow mountains near Dublin.

Established in 1798 and nestled in the Dublin Mountains, Johnnie Fox’s is the highest pub in Ireland, and has quite a reputation when it comes to traditional music sessions.

Guinness, guitars, and good times? Don’t mind if we do! Established in 1798 and nestled in the Dublin Mountains, Johnnie Fox’s is the highest pub in Ireland, and has quite a reputation when it comes to traditional music sessions.

Ireland In Ruins: Old Kilmacanogue Church Co Wicklow - near the picturesque Glen of the Downs. The old burial ground is situated on an ancient ecclesiastical site which dates back to the 6th century. While this has long passed into history there is still to be seen the ruin of a 12th century stone Church. The church had apparently remained in use up until the 1630's but is now ivy covered and only parts of the Nave, Chancel and both gable ends remain.

Old Kilmacanogue Church Co Wicklow

Church at Kilmacanogue, Ireland. The name Kilmacanogue derives from the ancient Irish name Cill Mochonoc, meaning the church of Mochonoc, who was an early Irish saint with strong associations with Glendalough in the heart of the Wicklow mountains. The old graveyard in the village is the original site of this early church, and is likely to have been founded in the 6th or 7th century. From: Kilmacanogue History Society, please visit

J.W. Sweetman pub, Dublin, Ireland (www.jwsweetman.ie/)

Churches, museums, history, pleasant views and delicious cuisine show there is much more to Dublin than just drinking in pubs.
