Jeg sydde en Bærumsbunad i bomull til størtstejenta da hun var snaut to år. Når de to minste barnebarna nærmet seg hele 3 år kunne jo ikke de heller være bunadsløse på 17 mai. Lille snuppa ønsket seg Hardangerbunad, morsslekten kommer derfra. Så det var bare å sette i gang. Aldri har jeg sydd slike perlebroderier, men det gikk overraskende greit. Det verste var nesten å tre bjørnetråden inn i perlenålen. Vil jo gjerne at det skal holde noen generasjoner, så sterk tråd til perlene måtte det…

Hello all, Today I will continue my series on East Telemark costume by talking about the shirts. This garment is called skjorte, and was and is worn by women with both the Raudtrøye and Beltestakk costumes, and even the Stakk og LIv, but without embroidery, and by men with the Gråtrøje costume.
